Dallas Till I Die....

Sunday Adam the kids and I headed to the FC Dallas opener. The weather leading up to the 2pm start time was cold, rainy and just nasty. But, the clouds parted and it turned out to be a beautiful day for a game. To top it of Dallas pulled off a 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls!!!!

I returned to work yesterday, but Adam and the kids enjoyed their day. We eneded the night with a yummy dinner out.

looks like Ryann really enjoyed her meal ;) LOL!!
After dinner Ryann pulled her lose tooth!!!

So far we're really loving our Spring Break!! I'll update again soon.

Been a while........

WOW, I really let this thing get away from me these last few weeks. Sorry! So much has been going on, the biggest being Aiden turned SEVEN! I can’t believe our baby is already seven. These past few years have speed by way too quickly for my liking. I mentioned previously that Aiden chose not to have a birthday party this year. It all started just after Christmas… The boys and I were in the car. Adam and I were talking about Aiden’s upcoming birthday and I told him, that I wasn’t sure what we were going to do for Aiden’s birthday because he got everything on his Christmas list except an IPod touch. Jokingly I said maybe he would skip having a party if we got him the IPod touch… Well little did we know that Aiden was listening and he piped in with, “I won’t have a birthday party if I can have an IPad2”. (which Adam and I both thought was hysterical!) After much discussion Adam and I decided Aiden had actually come up with a great idea. We’re on the rode a LOT with soccer practice and games, (and we knew at the time his coach wants him to start playing tournaments soon) plus our long drives out to pick up/ drop off Ryann. Not to mention Aiden has 2 school assignments each day that require him to be on the computer…. We figured it would be nice if he could work on those things on the rode if needed. He is super responsible with his toys and his other electronics, so we weren’t really worried about him loosing it, or breaking it… So we made absolutely sure Aiden was really okay with not having a party, (because an IPad2 plus a party was over our budget). We told him he wouldn’t know which option we picked, he would either get the IPad2 or a surprise birthday party. So the Saturday evening before his birthday we met up with the rest of the Nabors’ clan at Kobye Hibachi Grill, (Aiden’s choice) and had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our little man turning seven. After dinner he opened all his gifts. He was SO EXCITED when he opened his IPad2 from Mommy and Daddy!

I took the 21st off, (Aiden’s actual birthday) and had lunch with Aiden at school, then went back later that day and served his class cupcakes, homemade Ninjago Cookies, marshmallow pops and juice… The kids loved it! His class sang him Happy Birthday and then we headed home. We went out for another birthday dinner, and he has slowly been opening gifts that have come through the mail the past month. He says he has no regrets on skipping a party this year!

The kids tried their hand had tree climbing at Gamma and Papa’s… Aiden was a natural, and fearless. Ryann, has a tiny fear of heights…. She cracked me up, she was so worried for Aiden being up so high. She is such a mother hen, I just love her!
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra came to Keller. So the boys and I bought tickets. We were all really excited, but worried that the concert started about 20 minutes before Aiden’s bed time…. He loved the first half, but Beethoven put him straight to sleep after intermission. LOL!
Aiden has had a few soccer games since my last update…. The boys are struggling a bit this season. I think it’s the move back outside. Hopefully they can get it together, and get some wins under their belts. Aiden and one other boy have taken on the joint role as captain… which he is really excited about, but also means those two get the bulk of the coach’s wrath when things go wrong…. It’s a lot of pressure for the two of them, but they are both really happy.

Adam and I went to Aiden’s open house at school last night. Now, we’ve known for a while now that Aiden loves soccer. But, I honestly didn’t know how much…. Every writing assignment that boys has he makes about soccer…. seriously I wonder if we need to force him to try another sport… or is it okay that he just does this one and loves it??! I guess time will tell.

Spring Break starts Friday. Adam has taken the week off, he and the kids will have a lot of fun. We’re starting off with a FC Dallas game on Sunday. Not sure what else he has planned for the rest of the week, but I’ll be sure to update again soon.
