A Glimpse

Into how Aiden spent his third birthday!

Bowling in the afternoon....

Chuck E Cheese for dinner and play....

Then home to open/play with gifts from Mommy and Daddy....

I think it's safe to say, he doesn't have much of a problem turning three anymore!
**LOTS more pictures in his birthday album!**

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!!!

So, today is Aiden's THIRD birthday; can you believe it?! I can't, seems like just yesterday we brought that sweet little baby home from the hospital.

Do you guys remember that? Gosh, he sure has changed!
We've got big plans today to celebrate this birthday. We started off early this morning, he had two cupcakes and a sucker first thing this - hey, you only turn three once! Then of course his pirate party this weekend, he can hardly wait! Until then, we hope you are all doing great. Check our photo albums when you get a chance, I'm sure I'll have a TON of pictures from the next few days.

Got my new lens!!

And I LOVE it!!! It really makes me want to save up some money and buy more! Here are a few pictures that I snapped with it. Nothing spectacular just snaps of Aiden when he was some what still.

Can you believe he is going to be THREE on Thursday?!! It blows my mind! He has grown so fast, it's hard to keep up at times. He finished up this session of "reading school" on Saturday. Miss. Rhonda has been very impressed with how quickly he has learned, and is ready to move him up to the next level. We are so proud of our little smarty pants!

Double Trouble

They look pretty sweet and innocent don't they? Please do not be deceived, together they are wonderful little terrors! Saturday evening they found their way into our "front room" the one room the kids are not allowed unless accompanied by an adult. This room is full of all kinds of fun things, the computer, my camera, the video camera, all my *priceless* scrap booking paraphernalia, you get the point. Ryann and Aiden's world of make believe brought them to this wonderful, unexplored world and they just *had* to have the office chair. Some how it got spun out of control knocking down my beautiful camera and smashing the lens. Oh the horror! I cried, I yelled, I blamed everyone; then came to the hard to swallow truth, no matter how many rules were broken by our sweet mischievous little darlings, I should not have left my camera out - open to such harm. The good news it, it's being replaced; even as we speak with a new BETTER one. So I guess it all works out okay in the end!

Okay, on to our weekend! This was a special weekend. Ryann and Adam planned to attend the annual Daddy Daughter Dance. Ryann picked out her dress about a month ago, and has been anxiously waiting this wonderful night since. She looked absolutely beautiful! She and her daddy had a wonderful time at the dance!
A little ticked that boys don't get to have any fun at a stinking daughter dance, Aiden requested a Spiderman night. So I took that and ran! We had Spiderman mask, cookies, juice and let's not forget the wonderful web (silly string). I brought the bounce house in the living room; aired it up - and the fun began!

After all our fun we met up with Ryann and Daddy for dinner. It was a magical night!
more pictures up in our albums!

Catching Up

Sorry, I've been REALLY bad at keeping up with this thing lately. I FINALLY got all those pictures up that I've been promising for like a month!
Here are a few of my favorites....

These were from Taryn's party. The kids had a wonderful time. The girls put on a "fashion show" and dance. Of course Aiden couldn't be left out. Aunt Adrian turned my sweet little boy into a mean biker dude... isn't he adorable?!

I just HAD to dress up baby "D" she is so sweet - looks like a doll in these to me!

Just an adorable picture of Ryann I *had* to share.

Adam and I had a REAL date night Friday. We don' t do this much, we just can't squeeze them in very often - but here we are!

Believe me there are MANY, many more picture; go have a look for yourself.

Adam, Aiden and I headed out west for Jennifer and John's wedding this weekend. It was a long trip, but Aiden handled it like a champ. This was our first long trip since we declared him potty trained and he did awesome! Even with LONG naps both days, we still have a dry car seat!!! So, back to the reason for our trip; the wedding. It was beautiful!! The historic building where they had the wedding was stunning. Jennifer was a beautiful bride! Aunt Brenda and Uncle Frank looked amazing too. It was the first time I ever saw my uncle so dressed up, he looked so handsome. We were so happy to be apart of their special day. Here are just a few pictures, again LOTS more in our albums. I feel like a HUGE dork, I didn't get any pictures of my grandma, or my other Aunt.... sorry, maybe next time!

Oh, did I mention how much Aiden LOVES to dance at weddings?
I've been busting my bottom TRYING to get caught up on the kids scrapbooks - I don't know if that is every really going to happen, but I have cranked out some pages that I LOVE and that I'm pretty proud of! Remember I'm a little behind... so these are Aiden during the first half of 2006, enjoy!

You have-a get big, you too small

Aiden loves to talk, and he LOVES to tell me and his big sister that we are too small. "No, you can't you too small - let me, I'm very strong." He also loves talking about "when I was your size". I think I get to hear every day, "Mommy, when I was your size I could....." He cracks me up!

I'm working on getting those pictures up that Ipromised....

brush 'em brush 'em

The kids visited the dentist this morning. We got pretty good reports, so I'm happy! Ryann has been doing a great job brushing, but the dentist suggested a change in diet. No sodas or juice and only sugar free gum and candy. She has two teeth that they are watching for cavities - that is why these changes are so important. I talked with Ryann about this, and she seems okay with it all. Her six year molars are working their way to the surface! She was SO good while getting her teeth cleaned, which is more than I can say for Aiden. Some how he got it in his head that they were going to take his teeth out. Not sure how that happened, so mommy had to hold him down while he got his teeth cleaned - good times!

The rest of our weekend was pretty much the norm. We did go to Taryn's birthday party, and that was fun! I've got lots of pictures from that and the rest of our weekend. I'll work on getting those up over the next few days.

We hope you are all doing wonderful!

WARNING!

Warning, this is going to be a post FULL of bragging....

Aiden is getting to be such a big boy. He surprises Adam and me daily. He uses words on a daily bases that shock us. Then he went and did this...

Aiden, Ryann and I were sitting at the table. Ryann was asking me to spell a few things for her so she could write a letter to her Daddy. I had a sheet of paper in front of me, I wrote Aiden's name on it. He then crawls in my lap with is own pen and paper and "copies" what I have written. I was BLOWN away. He did it a few times, all on his own. Isn't that awesome?!!!

Time marches on...

We welcome 2008! '07 really FLEW by! We had a wonderful year. Our family is happy and healthy, and really what else could we ask for?

It's been a while since our last update; let's see if I can get you caught up. We did all we could to make this Christmas season magical for the kids. Gamma took Aiden to see the trains at North Park. He really enjoyed himself.
We went to our play groups Christmas party. Aiden and I don't have the time to make it to many of the group’s events, but I'm really glad I made time for this. Aiden had a wonderful time playing with all the kids.
Christmas Eve we went to dinner, Church and then took Aiden to look at Christmas lights. It was a wonderful night, but Christmas just didn't feel like Christmas until we picked up Ryann Christmas Day. Seriously the moment she got in the car and we headed to Papa and Gamma's house it REALLY felt like Christmas. The kids, Adam and I were SPOILED by Gamma and Papa; we are so blessed to have them in our lives! We came home Christmas night and got ready for Santa's special trip. The kids put out milk and cookies for that jolly fat man, and we all headed to bed. We woke up to Ryann jumping up and down at the side of the bed, "Santa came, Santa came, come see all the presents!!! Aiden, Santa came!!!!!" It was SO sweet. Santa brought Ryann the dog she has been wishing for. I was so upset I didn't get her reaction on camera. I was struggling to get the thing started when she found it, "Oh, Daddy look - This is JUST what I wanted, Santa brought just what I asked for, I'm so happy I got everything I wanted!!!" I really sat back and enjoyed watching the kids experience Christmas this year. I of course took pictures, but not like I normally do. I wanted to really enjoy them; enjoying them - so the pictures are not the best - but I have the best memories, and video. Aiden was excited about everything. This was his first year to really understand what was going on, but I do think he was a tiny bit overwhelmed with it all.
Late that night we headed to Aunt Kay's where we were spoiled again! Adam's family is the most giving group of people you could ever meet.

Since then we've been enjoying our time together as a family, breaking in some of those new toys.

We hope you all had a wonderful Holiday, and Happy New year!!!
TONS of new pictures up!
Take care!!
