What does Child proof really mean?!

Because I can tell you it doesn't mean that your child can't open it! Yesterday Aiden opened a bottle that had a child proof top on it; I really thought I probably just didn't put the top on right or something. Well, seems that wasn't the case at all! Last night he (Aiden) woke up with a headache, so Adam got out some medicine for him. We left the bottle sitting on our night stand.... I just looked over and Aiden was pulling the cotton out of the bottle. Now I know we shouldn't have left the bottle sitting there - dumb on our part, I get that. But come on! It has a child "proof" top. Needless to say, all our child "proof" bottles will be moved out of the little guys reach! I don't know to be proud of him for figuring this out, or panic; because it could lead to potential danger!!! God help us!

Amazing...

Aiden and I were out running errands earlier. We passed a rather large house. Aiden says, "Look Mommy, tat amaz'n house!" I was floored! I knew he knew the word amazing, but I had no clue he really understood what it meant. He is just too big!

Another week gone by....

And still no post?! Ha! Life is good, which means it is also BUSY!!! Last week seems like a million years ago, and I can't remember a thing. SO, we'll just skip to the weekend. We picked up Ryann Thursday afternoon. You guys would not believe how grown she is! Sometimes it's like talking to a mini 14 year old. She keeps us rolling with the things she says! Her counter part, little brother is much the same. I swear to you, he is the funniest kid! From what I remember about Pop, Adam's grandpa; I think Aiden has his sense of humor - it seems to come very natural to him. He is just too funny :)

So, we picked Ryann up Thursday and had a wonderful time talking about all the fun things she has been up to. She is now a BIG girl, and can swing all by herself - meaning she no longer needs an adult to push her! Friday was Daddy's day off, so we hung out at home, we tried to take the kids to see Meet the Robinson's in 3D, but we had some AWFUL rain and the lights went out, so they sent us home. Ryann will be with her Mommy this weekend for Easter. The Easter bunny must have known, because when we woke up Saturday morning Ryann and Aiden each had a basket full of goodies waiting. We had an egg hunt, (inside because of all that rain) then headed back to the theater. It was a really cute movie. Aiden did really great; he even kept his glasses on for the WHOLE movie! Sunday the kids got all dressed for Easter and we headed to Papa and Gamma's house where more Easter goodies and an egg hunt were ready and waiting.

It was another great weekend, that we were sad to watch pass so quickly. We can't wait for next weekend when Ryann will be back, but until then we hope she has a great time with her mommy.

I have been hard at work getting pictures uploaded. You wouldn't believe how many pictures we have! I just need to get the rest of 2004 and 2005 up and then we'll be all caught up! Take a look; you'll be amazed at how much these kids have grown is such a short amount of time! All the pictures are up from this weekend too.

Take care, and have a wonderful week!!!

Our week in review....

I don't plan on slacking so much that I'm only updating once a week, but we have been so busy lately. Give me time, and I hope to get back to keeping up with this thing better.

Adam is doing great in school. He was MIA most of the weekend, working on a project with his group. So Aiden and I headed to Morgan's birthday party with out him on Saturday. It was TONS of fun! First we had an Easter egg hunt, then jumping on the bounce house, headed to the petting zoo area, then time for cake. It was a great party. Aiden did not want to leave, but fell fast asleep after only 3 minutes in the car. That night we had dinner with Gamma and Papa. We were all happy to see them. It's been a while. Gamma won big again on their cruise. Bingo seems to be her game!

Aiden got a new baseball T, and LOVES it. He has spent most of his time outside playing with it. When he gets a bit older it'll shoot the balls out so he can hit them. He has become SO much fun! Adam and I have said several times in the past few months that he should just stay this age. He is such a joy to be around. He is no longer a baby; he looks like such a little boy. He doesn't even have that toddler belly anymore :(

I've uploaded lots of new pictures since our last post, starting on pg. 12 in the March album. I've also added a 2002 folder. It has some old ones of Ryann. I still need to scan in about 30 more, I'll let you know when those are up as well. Thanks again Judy and Melony for letting us have these! I also plan on finding the time to get the rest of our older pictures up over the next few days. Enjoy!
Hope you're all doing great!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

So this is what 29 looks like!
The whole weekend was full of celebration. Starting with dinner at Jack's off the wall on Thursday. Friday was a wonderful day spent with the kiddos. They are both growing so fast, we're going to miss everything if we don't slow down every once in a while. We had a wonderful St. Patty's day. We all loaded up and headed to the St. Patty's day parade at the stockyards. Ryann was so excited about everyone wearing green. We walked all over the stockyards, watched the parade; really took in the festivities. Sunday was Adam's birthday which was full of great gifts, yummy food and a wonderful cake.

Ryann went back to her Mommy's last night. We can't wait till she is here again! Ryann's Gamaw let me borrow Ryann's baby album, so start watching out for some old pictures of our little princess - like this one.
How cute is she?!!!
We hope you are all doing great!

Amazing weather, and not a thing to do!

The weekend comes to a close. It was so strange; we woke up Saturday morning and didn't have a thing planned! This is very odd for us lately. Ashelynn had another meet, but Aiden wasn't feeling well, and we just didn't feel right about leaving him. SO, it was a nice slow paced day spent at home. Lots of quality family time! Today was much the same. We did get out and do the first of our yard work for the year. I think we've decided to look for a better mower. I love to cut the grass, and since I can't really push the one we have now - I think we're in the market for a new one.

Spring break is this week; it'll be nice having Adam home on Tuesday and Thursday night. He'll be able to attend gymnastics with Aiden, so that'll be fun. I think we're going to go to dinner Thursday with some of Adam's coworkers. The place looks like a lot of fun, http://www.jacksoffthewall.com/about.htm. Then it's off to pick up Ryann on Friday - we can't wait to see her again!

Aiden had a runny nose and cough for the past few days, but seems to be feeling much better now. He is getting so big! It's amazing how he has grown, just in the past few weeks. He tries to feed his fish on his own, which ends up in a huge fish food mess - but is very cute to watch. We have LOVED this amazing weather, been spending lots of time outside; sad to see it go. Hopefully this rain will pass quickly so we can get back out doors.

We hope you're all doing great! New pictures are up, even a few of Mrs. Nabors. I've heard you all - so I added a few of just me. See the photographer does get in front of the camera sometimes!

Too busy to slow down....

It's been a whirl wind around here lately! After three weeks, we took Ryann back to her mommy last night. It was hard to let her go, but words can't begin to describe how much she missed her mommy, sister and the rest of that side of the family. Last weekend Taryn had her first swim meet. She did great! It was so cute to watch her, she would start to laugh when she would hear us cheering for her... she is a "little" shy. Then Sunday we went to Ashelynn's gymnastics meet. She did great again! Seriously, this girl has a natural talent that makes me SO proud!

This past week was pretty normal. Ryann got to attend a gymnastics class on Tuesday, she had SO much fun. She did really great too, even got to ring the bell; which means she mastered something. I think it was the bars.... Aiden got to ring the bell too. He did a back flip all by himself!

On Wednesday we went back to Planet Pizza. Ryann's mommy and little sister met us there. Fun was had by all :)

Life is very busy these days. It warming up outside, so that means more work for me. I LOVE having photo shoots every week. I am also about to start working from home. Adam is doing great! He is currently working on his first school project. It seems to be going pretty well. I think he likes all the people in his group. Soccer season has started, so he will be gone a little bit more on the weekends. Life is crazy busy, but we are having a great time.

Hope you are all doing great!!!

New pictures are up, be sure and check them out! (new ones start on pg 6 in the Feb album)

Two year well check

Aiden visited Dr. Rhodes offices this morning. Aiden is doing great, now weighing 30lbs and is 35" tall. Both put him in the 75th percentile. He had to have the last of his Hep shots, and a flu vac. It was horrible to watch. Now that he is so big, and really understands what is going on - it just broke my heart! We were in the car headed home and Aiden says, "Mommy, my legs hurt". I told him I'm so sorry! He then says, "Dat (that) lady hurt me". I almost cried!! His sweet, loving, wonderful sister helped him to feel much better! She gave him her milk, held his hand and gave him a sticker. He is a lucky little boy! By the time we made it home he had forgotten all about that mean ol lady.

Happy Birthday Aiden!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW, we still can't believe it's been two whole years!! Where did the time go?! Aiden had a great day. Daddy stayed home from work to be with the big boy. We started the morning off opening a few more gifts. Then got dressed and headed to Plano. We went to Planet Pizza Plano, if you've never been - take the kids! It was well worth the drive! The have indoor mini amusement park rides, a huge play area, and some rather yummy pizza. Melony is now working in Plano, and since we've had Ryann for almost two weeks we thought it would be great for her to come along too, (well at least during her lunch break). We all had a great time! After a few hours of playing we headed to Gamma and Papa's house. The kids Great Grandmother is still in town, so they got to visit and play with her! Aiden got to open a few more gifts. Then we went to dinner, and headed home. Aiden crashed on the way. It really was a great day!

*see, I'm two!!*
Pictures from today are up!!

What a Party!!!

We celebrated Aiden's second birthday on Saturday with a party at our home. We had a full house (47 people), and a great time! Lots of family and friends drove/flew long ways to be with us. I can not begin tell you all how much it meant to us to have you all here! I couldn't help but tear up when I looked around and saw you all standing there. We are so blessed to have each of you in our lives.

Aiden had a wonderful day! I was surprised that he wasn't at all over whelmed to have so many people here. He loved it! It was great to see how quick he took to people he had hasn't seen in so long, and some that he had never even met. He loved each and every one of his gifts!!! He and Ryann have had a great time playing with them all.

Thank you all for being here with us. You really helped to make this special day even more so!
We hope you all had a great time as well, and that you'll come back to visit again real soon!

Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance!

MySpace Comments
MySpace Comments at GlitterBell.com

How cute is this?!!

Adam took Ryann to her first dance last night. They had SO much fun! Ryann LOVED her dress. When I took it out of the closet, I glanced at her. I had the joy of watching the biggest smile take over her face! As I was pulling over her head, she said "I love you Courtney" I said I love you too. She said, "I love you 'cause you bought me this dress". It was so cute! While I was getting ready to fix her hair, she asked me to make it look like a princess - so this is what she got....

When they came back from the dance, I got to hear what a wonderful time they had. Ryann said they danced and danced to "lots of songs!" What a wonderful memory for them to share. I hope Ryann understands just how lucky she is to have such an amazing daddy.

To see more pictures of the princess w/ her king (and a few others) check out our albums.

Hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day!!!

Busy, busy - but not much to report...

It seems like we've been running around like chickens with our heads cut off, but I don't have much new to report. We get Ryann today; she'll be here for a week and a half. She is doing great! She is no longer in school, since they are looking to move; hopefully closer to us!

Adam seems to really be enjoying being back in school.

Aiden is growing like a weed. His new fascination is tennis, so last Sunday we took him to watch his Papa play. It was fun!

He is still in diapers part time, but doing great! We haven't had to change a poopy diaper in MONTHS, so I think it's safe to say he IS potty trained in that aspect. He'll even wake up during naps/ the night to use the potty if he needs to. Oh, and his newest phrase (which cracks me up!) "Yeah, I know".

We're working on getting everything together for Aiden's up coming birthday party. I can't wait! Both his great grandmothers are making the long trip to be here! Some of his great aunts and uncles will also be here, along with lots of other family and friends. Adam and I are looking forward to seeing you all!!

Take care!

Natural Talent..

Ashelynn's got it where gymnastics is concerned! Adam and I went to watch her compete for the very first time. She did an AMAZING job! Her coach told Jennifer that she would probably perform at her very worst, because of nerves, and what not; boy was she wrong!!! Every time she would perform I would get all teary, she made us all VERY VERY proud! I can't remember what she scored on the beam, but she got an 8.8 on the bars, and 9.1 on the floor and 8 on the vault. She did awesome!!! Here are a couple of pictures, to see more check out photo albums. (A lot of them are blurry, because we could not use flash photography for obvious reasons.)

Adam is loving being back in school. It's taken me back to when we were dating, I watch TV - he studies...

Ryann is doing great! Beautiful as ever! Aiden is doing very well too. He is still in diapers, but slowly using less and less of them. He woke up from his nap the other day to use the potty, and then went back to bed. We are so proud. New words/sayings fly out of his mouth daily. Last night he was "playing" I spy in the car. It was the first time we ever heard him use the word something. He is so funny! Kay asked him, "Would you like a bite of my...." his reply was "No, I would not" - how funny is that?!!

Hope you're all doing great!

We got SNOW!

And not the usual Texas ice, but real SNOW! The kids and I had a blast playing in it. It was awsome to open the front door and see everything covered in white. Ryann and Aiden both were amazed. They made snow castles, and we built our first tiny snow man. Lots of fun! We are ready for some warmer weather, it stinks being stuck at home all the time.

New pictures up!

It's COLD!

Burr, it's cold!! I hate when it's this cold! We picked up Ryann Friday, and had to spend the whole weekend coupe up inside. I was really looking forward to watching her play in our big yellow ball. I guess I can wait. She is really looking forward to playing with it. As I said we've spent most of the past few days hanging out at home. Papa and Gamma came by for a visit on Saturday before the weather got too bad. It was great to see them. The kids always have so much fun with them!

We took the kiddos to the dentist this morning. It was a SLOW drive, but we made it. Both kids got pretty good reports. We're still waiting on Aiden's two year molars to come in. Because his mouth is so wet, he had plaque build up on the back side of his bottom teeth. We'll start flossing, and that should take care of it. Other than that his teeth look great! Ryann has two teeth that the dentist is keeping a close eye on. Then there is her under bit, but all those things will be dealt with at the appropriate time.

Because of this yucky weather Ryann will not be going back to her Mommy's as planned. She is going to be with us the rest of this week! We are THRILLED! Very nice after not seeing her for three weeks. She continues to grow and amaze. You just can't believe how smart and beautiful she is!

Aiden is doing great too. He had another big step in potty training over the weekend. He had on underwear, and instead of telling us he needed to potty he went and sat on it all by himself! He forgot to pull down his underwear, but we are still proud! Baby steps! LOL!!

Adam starts back to school tomorrow. I think he's pretty excited too.
We hope you’re all doing great!

I'll get new pictures up ASAP!

Our little gymnast!

Okay, so maybe not. Aiden is doing incredibly well though! He gets SO excited if I even mention the word gymnastics. It makes us so happy to know that he really enjoys his class. Daddy got to go again tonight, so we were finally able to get some pictures. Check out our albums to see more.

Sunday we helped celebrate Taryn's 7th birthday... still can't believe that's even possible! We all had a great time. Aiden got to skate for the first time! He LOVED it!! We had them tighten the wheels, so it was more like walking than skating. It was easy to see just how proud he was of himself. I forgot my camera, but Jennifer let me borrow her camera to get a couple. I'll be sure to share those as soon as I get them.

Aiden is continuing to do great with potty training. Since our last post he has had a few accidents, but that is to be expected. It's so hard to believe that my BABY is doing these things!!

Ryann will be here for the long weekend, and we can't wait! She's been gone for almost three weeks, and it's wearing on all of us :( We'll have her two weekends in a row so that'll help! She continues to grow and get more grown up every time we see her.

Life continues to be BUSY, and we are loving every minute of it! Adam starts school next week. I have no doubt at how well he is going to do!

I think that's all for now. Take care!!

Proud Mommy!

Aiden has been potty training for some time now. We haven't pushed him very hard, for many reasons - the biggest being we want him to do it when he is ready. He wears underwear when we are home. Lately he has been asking more and more to use the potty on his own. He has done so great - having very few accidents. So I decided to have him wear his underwear while we were out running errands today. I packed an extra change of clothes, not really knowing what to expect. He did AWSOME! We were out all morning, in the car for long periods of time, and NO accidents! YAY!!! He even came to me during play time and let me know he needed to potty. I understand that the days that follow may not go this smoothly, but we are rejoicing in his big step toward throwing out those diapers!!!

**UPDATE** As of eight o'clock when Aiden crawled into bed, he had an accident FREE day!!!! YAY AIDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!***

Christmas is really over...

We got the last of our Christmas presents last night. Kay had ordered this gift, and it took this long to arrive. We really wish Ryann could have been here for our first time playing with it. We had a wonderful time. This is one of the funnest toys I've ever played with!!!!
New pictures up!

Adjusting to life in '07

Today was our first 'normal' day of '07. Adam returned to work, working the day shift. Aiden and I both hated it! It was nice having him here in the morning... we'll miss that. Aiden woke up asking for his Daddy. On the other hand he'll be here for dinner and bed time, and that’s nice too! (Wish we could have him home w/ us all day, all the time!) Daddy got to go to gymnastics with us tonight, and that was GREAT! Aiden really loved him being there. He gave his daddy a good show! Adam will get to go again next week, but the following week he'll be in school.

Left, right, left, right - Aiden knows the difference. He has officially mastered this task! New and FUNNY phrases pop out of his mouth almost hourly! LOL!!! He told me, (jokingly) "Go away!" Now when you call for him you get, "I'm coming" in return. If you ask him a question and the answer requires some thought he starts out with "um". I know I'm forgetting TONS, but he is growing and changing SO fast, it's just too hard to keep you all caught up.

Ryann called to wish us a Happy New Year; it sure was nice to hear her sweet little voice. We miss her SO much when she is gone! Aiden got to talk to her when she called. He said "hello Sissy". She said hello back. Aiden said "I miss you" then on the other end we hear, "Did you say I miss you? That's so sweet - (you're) such a big boy!" Isn't that the cutest?!

By now most of you should be back at work, and life is back to normal. Hope you're all enjoying it!

Good morning 2007!

WOW, is anyone else thinking - where did the time go?! Last year FLEW by SO fast, I guess because we had so much going on. Ryann is now 4 1/2 attending school! She is growing too fast to keep up. Aiden will turn two in February! He is growing and changing so much!! We moved into our first home! Adam decided to return to school. My photography business is keeping me busy. Life is good! We brought in the new year with a nice dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, followed by a quiet evening at home. This year promises to be a busy one! Adam will be MIA every Tuesday and Thursday starting late January. He will leave from work, and go straight to school. By the time he makes it home, Aiden and I will be heading to bed. It's going to be tough, but we'll make it. We didn't make resolutions this year; actually I'm not sure I ever have. But, if you did we wish you all the luck!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
