Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!

Has it been two years already?! It's almost hard to believe! Our life together has been full of love, excitement and adventure! I made the comment to someone about it being easy. That is truly how I feel. God has blessed us in so many ways that I can actually say life as a married couple and parents has been easy! Praise God!!!!!!

We have really enjoyed this anniversary so far. Saturday night we celebrated together, first we opened our gifts. The second anniversary was made for us! The traditional gift is cotton. Adam got two express shirts, and I pair of gaucho paints and sweat shirt form Victoria's Secret as well as a BIG, comfy blanket! Adam also got a pair of tickets to the A&M/ OU game in November.
We went out to dinner and had some yummy sushi!

**before going out Saturday night**

Sunday Adam's parents came over. We opened our gift from them, and then went to dinner.

Today, we had a picnic at the Botanic Gardens and then walked the Japanese Garden. Ending up at the exact place we got married, two wonderful years ago! Before leaving we stopped in the gift shop and got a sake set to help remember the day!

**Standing in the exact spot we said I do!**

We'll do a little more celebrating tomorrow with Adam's aunt. Then in November we'll travel kid FREE to College Station and celebrate some more. We are both really looking forward to this trip. We stay SO busy these days we don't get much time together. I am a little anxious about being away from Aiden that long, but I know he'll be in good hands - just hard, because I've never even spent the night way from him! We'll be staying at Messina Hoff in the Romeo and Juliet room - It's going to be great!!

When Daddy is in charge!

Just kidding. This could have just as easily happen to me, but it didn't so I can pick on him!! I was out and about this morning and I got a call from Adam asking how to clean up baby powder. Aiden had gotten into his changing table drawer and pulled out his bottle of powder and dumped the WHOLE thing out. First he pulled out some of his PJ's so they got covered with the white stuff too. I told Adam to close the door and I'd take care of it when I got home. It wasn't as bad as I imaged, looks like he had a good time though! LOL!!!

Learning so fast!!

On the 7th of this month Aiden helped Kay count to ten. Today he did it all by himself! on, tu, tee, fo, ive, six, seben, eight, nine, en!!! I can't believe he picked up on it SO fast! He is also picking up on more letters in the alphabet. He seems to favor B and P. He knows right where they go in the song too! He is learning how to say his own name. Sometimes it's as clear as day, others it comes out a bit more like aihen. He no longer calls himself baby when looking at pictures he tells you "that me!" I'm sure I'm forgetting something, since he does something new and amazes me every two to three minutes! Oh, but I do have a funny story....

We were at Kay's house, (a while back). She had gotten out her check book to right a check. Aiden brought her a pen, and said "A-I-D-E-N" She took the pen and continued what she was doing, then he brought another pen handing it to her again he said "A-I-D-E-N". He did that about 4 times. Then today Aiden got into Kay's purse, took out her check book and pen and started to "write", spelling A-I-D-E-N. Apparently he thinks Kay owes him some money!! LOL!!

Is it Friday yet?!

It’s just now nap time, (just after lunch) and the day already feels so LONG! Aiden and I got up early this morning and went to the doctor’s office, only to find out that he is NOT sick. He HAD to inherit his daddy’s allergies! We got a RX for some Zyrtec, which he'll have to take daily at least until the first freeze. Then on our way home a very sweet man waved me down to let me know my rear passenger tire was flat. I pulled into a gas station and it was COMPLETELY flat! SO, Aiden and I had to spend a few more hours away from home to have that fixed. Turns out there was a huge screw stuck in it!

Our weekend was much better than this morning! Ryann was home, and we LOVED it!! We picked her up Friday, and returned home to go to the homecoming game. We didn’t stay the whole time, ‘cause boy does this town LOVE it’s football. Seriously there wasn’t even standing room in the grass – crazy! We stayed long enough for the kids to run around and wear themselves out. When we returned home I found out that 3 of the shoots I was scheduled to do were rescheduled for next weekend. I did still get to go to my scrapbook club- which is SO much fun!! The rest of the weekend was filled with playtime w/ the kiddos. Adam had a few games to ref early Saturday morning, but that was about it.

Ryann is still loving school and doing great! She comes home from school with a smiley EVERYday!! Not a whole lot else to report on little miss, she is still as sweet and beautiful as ever. She is VERY funny too. She cracks me up all the time, and she NEVER stops talking. You know that commercial for the cell phone company and they have the little cheerleader on the phone – well that’s Ryann!

Aiden is still changing every time you turn around. He can now show you how old he is, it’s so cute!! He loves to sing and will go back and forth between Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Old McDonald all day if you let him. He is picking up on more and more words daily. He has learned how to say Ryann’s mommy’s name – Melony; although when he says it it sounds more like Nelmony. Aiden is learning his colors. It is still a little confusing for him, but he has learned pink. If you show him something pink he says, “Sissy, pinkt” I think it’s so funny that he puts those two things together. He is also picking up on some parts of the alphabet song. As I sing it he throws in the letters he knows. He is just so amazing to me! Today while we were waiting on my car he looked at me and said, “Poo-poo”. I checked his diaper and he hadn’t, then a second later he looked at me again and said, “poo-poo” I asked him if he wanted to sit on the potty, and he said yes. I took him in and he used it. This is the first time he has been able to make it to the potty for a BM. Of course we did our little potty dance, washed our hands and had a snack. He was so proud of himself! He only used one diaper all day yesterday, so I think you could say this potty training stuff is going pretty good!!!

Busy day!!

Aiden and I had a BUSY day! First we went and had breakfast with some of the mom's in our play group. It was YUMMY!!! Then we met up with the rest of the group and the Ridgmar Mall play area. Aiden had a great time. That play area is awesome for kids his size. He was all over the place!!! Then we went to lunch and walked the mall. We made it home about 4:30, just in time to start dinner. Adam is working a normal shift today and tomorrow, so when he gets home we'll be outside messing with my car, and cleaning the garage! Adam is going to see if I we will need to take my car in to get the AC, or part of the AC fixed - yay!! Ug, I'm really hoping that it's just this little thing he can take care of, **fingers crossed!** Here are some pix of Aiden playing today.

Excited?!

and this is why we wear hats!! LOL!!

Craft Playdate!

Aiden and I had a blast this morning! We hosted our second "craft" playdate! At the first one we worked on Aggie overalls. At this one we made handprint plates. They are SUPER cute, and a really great keepsake! Knowing Ryann wouldn't be here for today, we did her's the weekend before last. I can't wait to get these up in their rooms! Look how close their hands are in size - keep in mind Ryann is 4 and Aiden is 18mo!!!

These kids are growing up TOO fast!

Mr. Smarty Pants!!

Aiden and I were at Kay's house last night. I was printing some stuff, and Aiden and Kay were sitting at the dinner table having a snack. Aiden wanted a piece of chocolate. Kay let him have a piece, and then he wanted another. She told him no, and he began to cry. She said, "Let’s count them as we put them up. 1, 2, 3, 4". Aiden followed her up with "5!" Kay continued "6,7" Aiden again followed up with "8!" We were SO excited! I'm not really sure how he picked up on this. Most of the time when we count with him we only get to 5. I'm guessing he picked up on it while we were working on numbers with Ryann this past weekend. He is truly amazing!!

Happy Labor Day!!!

Yay a day of total laziness! We spent most of our day at Gamma and Papa’s house. The kids where thrilled to get to spend some time with their grandparents. Aiden talks about his Papa no less than twice a day. Something tells me these two will have an unbreakable bond one day. Gamma got out some of her water colors and let the kids go to town. They (all three of them) had a blast! Then she helped them start on some Halloween crafts! Ryann was happy to cut and glue!

Adam and I enjoyed sitting on the couch, watching the SVU marathon. After a few hours it was time to take Ryann back to her mommy. We were all sad to see her go, and can’t wait till she is here again! I made these overalls for Ryann last night, what do you think?

Embracing our creative side

The whole family sat down after dinner and did a little painting. Ryann was SO excited when we told her we were going to paint after she finished eating, that she actually quite talking, (for the fist time since we picked her up) so she could hurry up and finish her meal. We all had a great time. This was Aiden's first experience with paint. He did a really great job. Only tasted it once. LOL! Ryann and Aiden both painted a couple of 'masterpieces', but the best one of all was on the side of Aiden's head.....

Ryann had an awesome two weeks at school. She came home everyday with a smiley in her folder! We asked if she had any friends, she told us yes. I asked if she had a best friend and she said her name was Adrian, and that she had brown hair. Ryann seems to really be enjoying school. She asks to read every book she sees. Since she did do SO well her first two weeks she got to go to Target and spend some of her money. She picked out a cute little Polly Pocket set. She was super excited when she got to pay for it all by herself!

Hope you're all enjoying your long weekend as much as we are!

Aiden's first hair cut!!

Okay, so it was just a trim! The back of his hair was getting a bit too long for Mommy's taste. We got the scissors out and took off a few curls. To my surprise I was a little sad when it was all said and done. We'll take him soon to get the top trimmed up a bit - I didn't trust myself to do that part. Daddy didn't really want to cut them off, but they really needed to go. I think after a few days he'll be happy we did it, and if not - those curls will grow back! Seriously, Aiden has no choice; he is going to have CURLY hair.

...after!

Bye-bye curls!!

Loving this cooler weather!!

It's been so nice! Aiden and I actually took a walk around the neighborhood today. Sad, but it's the first time since we moved in March. It was SO nice. We met one of the little girls who lives near us. She let Aiden pet her dog, which he of course instantly fell in love with! We came home and just enjoyed getting to spend some alone time - at home - together. He helped me unload the dishwasher. He was so proud of himself; it really was cute to watch. Then we made dinner, ate, which had to be followed up with a bath - we had spaghetti for dinner :). I got some cute pictures of him in tub. He tries to bathe himself, which really is quite comical.

Isn't the the cutest?!

Bar-b-que fun!

Adam, Aiden and I went to my cousin Jennifer's house for a wonderful bar-b-que last night. We got to spend some great family time with Aiden's great Uncle Frank and Aunt Brenda, as well as Jennifer and John. As much as Aiden enjoyed visiting with his family, I think his favorite part was playing with the K9 side of the Fuson family. Uncle Frank and Aunt Brenda have the cutest 8mo old boxer named Gus and Jennifer and John have slightly older one named Maxie. Aiden was greeted with LOTS of kisses from these two. Jennifer broke out some bubbles, and after eating a small portion of the bottle Aiden caught on and started blowing them. Adam and I had a great time as well. It was really great getting see Frank and Brenda, they live in San Angelo so we hadn't seen them in about 6 months. We don't have a very good excuse for not seeing Jennifer and John as they live in Benbrook. The food and company were wonderful, and we can't wait to do it again!

Doing Great!!!

Aiden turned 18 months on Monday!!! Boy, is time flying! He went in for is well check this morning. The doctor said he is doing GREAT!!! He had a bit of a growth spurt over the past six months. Aiden is now 34" tall, putting him in the 75 percentile. He is FINALLY in the 50 percentile in his weight, weighing in at 26lbs. I'm a little confused how he gained enough weight to bump him up, he doesn't eat nearly like he use to, and I don't think he could be any more active! I guess those two gallons of milk a week did it. Aiden enjoyed playing with Dr. Rhodes. This was the first visit he has actually given the doc much of his attention. He had a good visit, except for the two shots he got. Aiden is quite strong and that showed while he was getting his shots. He was able to kick one leg just about loose while the nurse was giving him his second shot. I'm pretty sure it's going to bruise, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Aiden did SO great yesterday using the potty. He only "used" his diaper twice ALL day, and one time was during his nap. Our baby boy is turning into a little man :(

Yay Aiden!!!!

We've been sitting Aiden on the potty occasionally for months. Sunday when I got him out of the bath he said, "TT seat TT seat". I finished drying him off and sat him on the potty. He sat there for a second then pssssss!!! We've sat him on it a few time since then, mostly when he has asked. Then tonight we were in my room doing a little cleaning. He said something, which I didn't hear then he yelled "Mommy, tt!!". So we ran to the rest room, sat him on the potty, and he did it again!! He has used the potty 3 times since Sunday!! I'm hoping this is going to be pretty easy for him. He knows when he needs to pee. I know that because if he is in the bath he will stand up and look at me, "Mommy, t" then begins peeing. Unfortunatly he thinks that it is funny. He will also tell you when he has a dirty diaper. Ryann taught him the word toot. So right after he "uses" his diaper he'll say "toot". He is growing up WAY too fast!! He turned 18months on Monday, and will be going in for his well check on Thursday. I'll post more then.

Sweet Aggie Babies!!!

Seriously it doesn't get much cuter than this!!!

Ryann's FIRST day of school!!!

Still can't believe we're already at this point in her life. If you don't have kids, or you've just got a tiny one, believe me when I say they grow up TOO fast!!

Adam, Aiden and I drove to Greenville EARLY this morning to surprise Ryann at her mommy's house. Thanks to Melony, Ryann's mom; we were able to be a big part of Ryann's first day of school. She was a little shocked when she came running out of the bath and found us standing in the living room! Melony was nice enough to let me fix Ryann's hair - something I was HAPPY to do!! Ryann, Kamri and Aiden got to play for a few minutes before we loaded up and headed to school.

Ryann met her teacher last Thursday and was REALLY looking forward to today. We walked in her room and she went right to playing. This was not a hard thing for her at all! Can't really say the same for us parents. It was HARD! We all did a good job of chocking back our tears, well at least till we got to the car. Ryann is an amazing child. There is NO doubt in our minds that she will not cease to amaze her teachers and fellow class mates!

I can't wait to call her and hear all about her first day!!!!
Here are some pictures we took this morning.....

Big things coming up!

Kay and I spent all afternoon driving around looking for uniforms for Ryann. Still can't believe she will be starting pre-k Monday!! We were able to find enough to give her a good start. Her mommy will finish up the shopping this weekend while Ryann is with us. We're going to look for some shoes while she is here. Should be fun. Adam, Aiden and I are going to spend Sunday night with Gamma and Papa, so we can get up early and drive to Greenville to be with Ryann for her fist day of school. Pretty sure I'm going to cry. Monday is also a big day for Aiden, he will officially be 18months!! OMG, where did the time go?? He has his well check next Thursday morning.
This weekend I get to go out with some of my momma friends. I'm really looking forward to it. We are going out for Restaurant week, so we are getting all dressed up and going to enjoy a fancy meal for a great price. It's going to be YUMMY!!!

Having fun!

Yep, that's what we've been doing! Wednesday night we went to the circus. We had a great time! Aiden LOVED all the music. He seriously danced the night away!! It was so funny to watch, he had a great time shaking his booty! LOL!! Ryann had a ton of fun too. She said her favorite part was when the elephants sat on their bottoms. They also had a blast eating popcorn. Who knew eating could be SO exciting?!

Thursday I took Ryann to pick out a backpack for school. She was so funny to watch. She finally settled on a blue tinker bell one. Wanna know how she made her final decision? She chose the one that had the best "free" extras. Yep, she picked this one because it was cute and it came w/ a mirror and a pencil bag. Isn't that funny?! After that we took Ryann back to her mommy. She'll be back next weekend, and will start school the following Monday - YICKS!!!

Aiden and I went to a play date today. We had a good time, but Aiden was ready to leave early. He told me "Mommy, I want nigh-night". So we came home. I put him down for a nap, which he never took. He just laid in his bed and played for about an hour. I think he was just ready for a day at home. We really do go a lot, and with Ryann being here the past week we did even more than usual. He was ready for some down time; I also think he is craving a little bit of Mommy and Daddy time. Which he got some of, and will get more of tomorrow morning. We'll be going to his cousin Ashelynn's birthday party tomorrow afternoon, which he is going to LOVE. It's a swimming party, and Aiden LOVES the water! Sunday is another busy day. I've got to meet with my scrapbook club then race over to Adrian's baby shower. Should be a fun, but hectic day.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Busy, busy!

I'm not sure we've stopped since Ryann came home Thursday night! Friday we went to the pool. Saturday we went to the movies, while the kiddos played with Gamma. Sunday we ate lunch and took advantage of tax free weekend with Gamma. Thanks for all the kids clothes!!!!!! Today we hosted a playdate for our group. Ryann and Aiden had a BLAST! This was Ryann's first chance to meet the kids in our group - except for the ones who came to her birthday party. One of the girls is almost exactly her age. They had a really great time running round playing together. Aiden, as usual; was a great host. I loved hosting another playdate. I've decided hosting get togethers CAN be fun. I've always hated it, because I hate having a mess - it makes it SO worth it to see Ryann, Aiden and the rest of the kids having fun. I'm sure we'll do it again! Not sure what we have going on tomorrow..... maybe swimming and walking Cabelas? Who knows... I'm sure we'll be going - going! Wednesday, it's off to the circus! I can hardly wait!

New pictures up!

Growing boy!

It feels like Aiden woke up this morning and thought, hey I'm going to say a bunch of new words and act like a big boy all day! He started this morning by pointing to my head and saying "head, mommy's head". Then later when I was changing his diaper he pulled up his shirt, pointed and said, "tummy, baby tummy"!!! He also said night, night for the first time today. We were getting him ready for his nap, Adam told him night-night Aiden. Aiden followed him up with night-night Daddy. Then after nap I took him swimming. He will swim all over the place with his floaty suit. He got out and said "Mommy jump" so I held out my arms, and he jumped to me. I didn't really "catch" him. He really doesn't like going under and since this was something he wanted to do I figured it would be a good time to let his head go under. He LOVED it. Aiden would jump in, go under, turn around and swim back to the side!!!!!!! He absolutely amazed me ALL day! His vocabulary is growing so rapid! He tells you if he is happy now, and it is just the CUTEST thing! Most words are SO clear I don't even need to interpret for him. Cup gets a little confusing because he still says pup, but that's the only word you may not have a clue on. I haven't been keeping up like I would have liked to, but here is most of the words he is saying now:
Mommy, Daddy, Sissy, Papa, Kay, GiGi, dog, cat, puppy, pup (cup), eye, head, tummy, feet, what's this/that, baby, ice, eat, light, no, night-night, down, up, hot, flower, house, ball, man (usually means Superman or Spiderman), happy, and bye-bye. I'm sure there are many more, but I just can't think right now.

We hope you're all doing well! We've got some fun days ahead of us. Aiden and I are going to pick up Ryann tomorrow, and she will be with us for a WEEK!!!!!!!!!! Aiden is going to be in heaven! He LOVES having his big sister around.

Uh-oh Mommy!

We are beginning to hear this at our house more and more as Aiden’s curiosity grows. Take a look and you’ll see what I mean….

This one is of Aiden after he found Mommy’s make-up bag, the color looks pretty good on him! LOL

These, well they pretty much explain themselves .....

Uh-oh Mommy!!

Trying to clean up his mess

I came around the corner just in time to catch the WHOLE thing on film..... How could I be mad? He is just SO cute, and learning about his world by exploring!

Keeping you updated!!

Ryann went back to her mommy's yesterday :( Aiden was so sad to see her go, he had a hard time this morning when he walked into her room and she wasn't there. We all loved getting to spend so much time with her. While she was here we had TONS of fun! We played and played and celebrated Courtney's 24th birthday!! Adam and I went out for sushi, YUMMY! I opened my gift through out the weekend. See the cake Adam had made for me, I love angels; so he had them make it into angel wings.

We took the kids to the sprinkler park, they had a blast. We were out there for over 2 hours!!! Who knew this could be so much fun?!

Aiden is talking more and more everyday. He uses sentences most of the time, although sometimes only he knows what he is saying, lol! He can now let us know what song he would like to sing, Row Row your boat - WO, WO, WO or Twinkle Twinkle little Star - He tries SO hard to sing the "up above the world so high" line - TOO CUTE! He is always coming up with something new to surprise us!!!

Not much new to report on Ryann, she still can't quite understand why she didn't really change when she turned 4. Some how she got it in her head that things were going to REALLY be different once she had her birthday!! Ryann will be starting school on the 21st of August. I'll be sure and post some pictures, Adam and I are going to make the haul so that we can be there w/ her on her very fist day of school! It's hard to believe all this is really happening!! They really do grow up WAY to fast :(

Hope you're all doing great!

Pearly Whites!

Ryann and Aiden visited the dentist for the first time today. They both did great! The dentist office was wonderful for kids. They had video games in the wall, and a pretty cool play table, beautiful paintings all over the walls, and TV's above the exam chairs! Ryann did great during her x-rays. She had a hard time getting good ones of her back teeth, but it is HARD with that big film thing in your mouth. Aiden is still too young for x-rays. Both kids are brushing really good, so that wasn't an issue. Ryann has one molar that the dentist is keeping her eye on. It is the bottom right one, it's looking slightly discolored. She said her under-bite is pretty bad, but we aren't going to worry with it till her permanent teeth come in, it still has time to correct itself. Aiden's teeth are coming in nicely. All in all it was a GREAT visit! The kids had a great time, and got great reports!!!!! YAY!!

Doing so good!

My brave little man!!

How do you spell your name?!

Aiden has learned how to spell his name! Well almost. He has forgotten that it ends with a N not an I. This was something he picked up on all by himself. He has been "spelling" A-I for a while. Yesterday Ryann spelled his name to him and he spelled it right back to her. I would have thought this was a fluke, but he spelled it to her a dozen times in a row. Today however it ends with an I.... At first I didn't think he really knew what he was doing, but I realized that he has made the connection. Because you can ask him to spell it and he does. Or if he hears you talking about it he'll spell it. Check out our smart little boy

This was taken w/ my phone so it's not the best quality; but you get the idea. For some reason the movement stops, it's probably the site I used to host it... you can still hear it though!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!!

Our little angel is FOUR today! I still can't believe how time has flown by! She is such an amazing little person!! See for yourself how she has grown....

Ryann woke up to find one last birthday surprise waiting for her......................

Think she likes it?!

We're off to see Cars and have lunch before Ryann leaves to spend the weekend with her mommy.

Have a great day!
