The most Wonderful time of the year!!

We had the most wonderful Thanksgiving break! NONE of us were ready to get up and go to school/work today, blah! But, we really enjoyed our time off. Thanksgiving was wonderful, great food and company, and awesome football (Whoop!), what more could we ask for?

We’ve started getting the house ready for Christmas. Both trees are up and decorated. I’m still working on getting the rest of the house done, and once Adam’s back is feeling a bit better we’ll get busy on the outside. Presents are wrapped and under the tree….. so we’re getting there. We’ve already gotten to listen to Aiden sing “Mary did you know” a few times, so it’s officially the most wonderful time of the year!

I had just got to work this morning, when I got a text from Adam, Aiden lost his first tooth. I’m so bummed I missed it. I just can’t believe we’re already here. He’s not a baby anymore. Boo!

I'll post pictures soon!!

Also, the winter soccer schedule was released today. Aiden will be playing on an U7 team. Although, this team is not a club team, they play in the club division. Aiden will have more competition than ever before. I’m really excited for this season to start! If you care to come watch a game, below is his schedule. He’ll be playing at Stampede in Southlake.

December 5 Blue Devils VS Quest Fire, 2:45
December 15 Solar White VS Blue Devils 6:10
December 29 Blue Devils VS Odyssey White 6:05
January 11 Crickets VS Blue Devils 6:05
January 23 Blue Devils VS Phoenix 2:15
January 30 Quest Fire VS Blue Devils 4:30

Happy Thanksgiving

Just a quick little update. The kids started their Thanksgiving break on Friday. Adam, Aiden and I started the break off with a trip down to College Station. We visited old friends and some of our favorite spots in BCS and watched the Ag’s beat the hell out of Nebraska! It was a great trip!

The kids got their report cards on Friday. Aiden got all M’s again, meaning he is still mastering all his subjects, and he still has perfect attendance! Ryann made 1 B in math, and the rest were A’s, (actually other than the math grade all her grades were higher this 6 weeks than last), we’re very proud of both our little smarties!

Ryann went in for an orthodontic consultation yesterday. Her dentist originally thought her under bite was a jaw problem, but the orthodontist confirmed that it is a tooth problem, and braces should take care of it, so no need for the chin strap we were all worried about her needing to have. Instead the orthodontist is suggesting top braces and a bottom plate to help with her bite now, (for about 1 year), and then braces again after all her permanent teeth grow in. Basically breaking it up this way is better because the first set will prepare her mouth to make room for the permanent teeth that will come later. There is even a slight, (very slight) chance that she may not need the second set of braces. If we wait, it will be much more complicated, and she would need the braces for a much longer period of time, and probably need teeth pulled. We have to discuss all of this with Ryann’s mom, but it looks like she could have braces as early as December.

My Thanksgiving break starts today when I get off work, and I CAN NOT wait! We are all so excited to get the next few days for family time! The kids are so excited about taking down all the fall decorations, and putting up the Christmas ones. We took them to pick out their new ornaments, which is always an adventure. It took Aiden about 10 minutes to pick his ornament, he decided on a snowflake. His selection almost always shocks me. I just knew he was going to pick as soccer ball, but he is very happy with is ornament, and that is all that counts. Ryann, my dear dear Ryann, whew…. That child is so much like her father that it hurts sometimes. She took over 45 minutes to pick her ornament. I’m not kidding Adam and I finally just sat down on the floor of the store and let her have at it. FINALLY she decided on a little ballerina girl. This is surprising, because she picked a ballerina last year or the year before. But, the important thing is she is happy with her decision, and it’ll look stunning on their tree. This yearly tradition is always so much fun, and a great way to see each child’s personality, it’s like a glimpse into the future.

We’re headed to see Tangle this afternoon, and then preparing for a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow! Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving too!

The latest and Greatest

We haven't posted pictures on here in so long, so I decided to add lots of pictures this time!
Here are our pictures from our trip to the pumpkin patch and Aiden's school fall festival.

Aiden and his friend Coleman trick or treating

Ryann's Thanksgiving program at school. Sorry the pictures aren't better, she was on the back row and the girl infront of her was taller... But she is an awesome model and would stick her head out and smile directly
at the camera! She is standing under the cornucopia.

Aiden's Thanksgiving feast! First the kids sang a few Thanksgiving songs and then we moved onto the feast. It is so much fun watching him interacting with his friends! He is getting to big!

That pretty much gets you caught up on pictures since my last post. Last night Aiden started a new indoor soccer team for the winter season. He is sooooo excited. This team is in the U7 division, so he'll be playing with older kids. I think it'll be a better fit for his skills. Adam is not coaching this team, and while we believe it's good for him to have a few different coaches, I can tell you it is going to be hard in Adam.

At dinner last night Aiden realized he has his first loose tooth! He is excited to get some money from the tooth fairy. I however am not looking forward to that tooth coming out- it's like the end of the baby days.... I'm so sad ;(

Both kids are still doing good in school. Ryann has been busy preparing for the UIL ready writing competition. Aiden's teacher pulled ne aside yesterday to let me know she has been very impressed with Aiden's writing too. Not only is his handwriting improving, but his use of punctuation and his ability to get a clear, complete thought down on paper has been incredible! We are so proud of both of our amazing kiddos! Report cards come home today, and I just know we'll see more great marks from these two!! Thanksgiving break also starts today. Adam, Aiden and I are going down to College Station fir the weekend. I'm so excited!!
Ryann will be home Tuesday, and the first order of business will be taking her to the orthodontist for a consultation.... More on that later.

We hope you are all doing great!
Until next time. Oh, please excuse any typos you came across in this post, I did the whole thing on my phone....
