Vacation, Day 4 - more pictures!!

We woke up early on day 4. We needed to eat some breakfast, and then catch the bus that was going to take us on our adventure!

Nacho, our tore guide picked us, and 6 others up and we were on our way! Our first stop was the lagoon, and inlet.. We started off in fresh water and moved to salt water. If the water had been less choppy we would have gone all the way out to the reef and had a chance to swim the the sea turtles. But, even though we didn't get to go that far, we went out a LONG ways, and saw lots of fish, barracuda and the biggest sting ray I have ever seen!! It was an amazing adventure, and the kids did so great! Ryann wasn't a huge fan of the salt water again, and she tired out but that was to be expected. We swam a LONG ways. She just isn't use to that type of physical activity. The tour guide was impressed with both kids, and congratulated Adam and I several time on our amazing little fish!

After we swam back up the lagoon, we got to rest for a few get a drink and then we were back on the bus to see something you can't see every day. The Yucatan has one of the largest underwater river systems, (the Xibaba cenote), and we got to snorkel in it! We seriously snorkeled in a cave... it was AWESOME. Cold, but awesome. We all loved this part of our tour.
Our next stop was another section of the cenote, with cliff diving, zip lines, and more snorkeling... we all had a wonderful time here. Adam and Aiden quickly became the entertainment for our group... they were doing flips, and fancy dives off the cliff jump, and going down zip line backwards - and doing flips.... fearless.

We finished up our adventure with an amazing lunch, and then it was back to the Palace for more fun in the sun at the beach/ pool.

^ Probably my favorite picture of the trip- scenery wise^

That night we headed out to dinner at one of the 5 star restaurants. A Brazilian Steak house.

Then back out the the shops to the the bulk of our shopping.
We stayed out very late, knowing that we had to head home the next day :(
This day was LONG, and oh so fun!!

Vacation, Day 3

Day 3 we got up early and headed down to the dock to make reservations to go snorkeling at some point in the day. Before we left for vacation the kids made it very clear that this was an activity they really wanted to do. Unfortunately, the red flags were up, meaning we couldn't get out and snorkel that day, bummer. But, we knew we could leave the resort and go on a snorkeling excursion that just might have calmer waters, so back down the beach we headed to book our excursion for the next day....

On our way to the lobby Aiden had his picture taken with this parrot. (We didn't buy the picture - and now I REALLY wish we would have :(
We stopped along the way to snap some pictures of our little cuties.

The kids got these balloon swords at breakfast - and they had a blast playing with them. LOL..

The rest of the day we spent on the beach, at the pool/ water park - and really enjoyed the day!

That evening left the Palace, and had lunch at one of the other lobby's - then we walked around the shops.

We stumbled across this amazing artist... his medium? SPRAY PAINT! Can you believe that?! We sat in awe for 45 minutes at least! In the end the kids picked a painting to come home with us... it'll find its way to a frame and the playroom wall this weekend.

It was a fun fun day in the sun, a late night shopping and we had to get up early for more fun!
