Baby it's cold outside!!!

BRRRR!!! WOW, you would never think that only yesterday it was 80+ outside! We are loving the change though! It is absolutely beautiful outside. A little too cold to really enjoy it, but beautiful! The kids did get to get out in it for a short while. They both LOVED it! This is Aiden's first time to see "snow", and I think it was love a first sight! Ryann liked it as long as it didn't get on her face. The minute I opened the door she took off running, and didn't really stop till we came in. (so not too many pictures of her).

Here is one of them in front of the tree....

Not much new to report. Ryann has been with us since last weekend and will be here until the 10th. We are so excited about this extended visit! She is amazing! Aiden had gymnastics Tuesday. He is doing amazingly well. His coach thought he was much older, she said he has caught on incredible fast. He got one of his stuffed animals this morning; Sam wears an A&M shirt. Aiden pointed to the A and said, "See, A". I was blown away! I had no idea he could recognize written letters!!!

Hope you are all doing great, stay warm!!! I'm going to try to talk Adam into lighting a fire tonight!

Transitioning....

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!! We sure did! Ryann knows how to eat herself through the holidays. LOL!!! We spent Thanksgiving Day with Gamma, Papa and the rest of the Nabors clan. Aiden entertained us all with his drumming/singing skills! He LOVES Uncle Brent's drums, and he LOVES to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - those two things put together made for some great entertainment! I was able to get a lot of work done, the kids got to play with their Grandparents - and not much makes them happier! Adam got to eat and be lazy - it was a wonderful day for us all.

We came home early enough to get our tree put up/decorated. The kids had a blast!

Aiden got to put the star up this year. Our little boy is getting so big!!

This afternoon we put up the lights on the house. Ryann says, "It feels like Christmas here. I'm so excited about our tree, and presents!!!" We completed all our shopping, and have just about everything under the tree, which means we've already heard about a THOUSAND times, "I wanna open this one... It has MY name on it!" We still have tons to do to get the rest of the house "ready" for Christmas, but I have to agree with Ryann - it's starting to feel a little like Christmas!

We hope you're all doing great, and that you enjoyed your day(s) off for Turkey day!!!

So how did you celebrate the Aggies big win?!

The holidays are here!!!!!!!

Happy early Thanksgiving everyone!!!! We'll be at Gamma and Papa's tomorrow celebrating. Ryann CAN NOT wait, she has been asking her mom, when is Thanksgiving since Sunday.

We've been busy! Aiden started his gymnastics class at ASI last night. He did really great! It's amazing what they can teach such small kids. The only thing he didn't really like was the balance beam, but that's because he wanted to jump off it instead of walk on it ;) Ryann is also in tumbling and I think she likes it. She doesn't talk about it much, but she seems happy!

I can't wait for tomorrow to be over. I'm not a big fan of Thanksgiving; the day feels like it DRAGS to me. I'm planning on getting some work done, so that'll be good. My photography business is booming right now, which we are thrilled about! I have multiple shoots every weekend, and a few during the week. It makes for hectic times, but I do love it; so it's worth it. Not a whole lot to report, the kids are growing like weeds - shocking us everyday with how smart they are. Adam is still working second shift, but that should be ending pretty soon - just in time to start school! I'm busy with the house, Aiden, mom's group and work. Things are good, we have TONS to be thankful for this year - God has blessed us in so many wonderful ways!!!!

Kinda late but, Congrats to Patrick and Jayme on the purchase of their first home! We are so excited and can't wait to see it!!!

Another Congrats to the Ensey family who just welcomed new baby Elizabeth Marie into the world. Mommy and baby are both doing well. Jenny said this delivery was much eaiser than with Chandler!!! We love you guys, and are so happy for you - can't wait to meet her!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, PLEASE be careful if you plan on driving/flying for the holidays!!!!

Worst case of diaper rash.....

I've never seen it end up on someones head before!!!!
Yeah, leave it up to our son!! I was doing laundry, left him alone in our bathroom for MABYE a minute, and this is what I return to find! I walked back and he met me at the door, handed me the tin and said, "See - Mommy, medicine!" Adam said he's head must have itched! We've already washed his head four times and it still isn't out completely. You can't see it anymore, but if you touch it - well it just feels nasty!!! Anyone run into this problem before? I would LOVE some ideas on how to get it out!

Hope your day is going better than ours!!!

Learning to manipulate!

I think it's so funny that this is something learned so early in life! I've noticed when Aiden wants something, that he knows he isn't suppose to have he will try to butter you up. When I talk to Aiden I'm always sure to make eye contact, sometimes that means "getting in his face". When that happens he uses it as a chance to work me over.... he'll gently grab both sides of my face, look at me all sweet and say things like, "I uv Mommy", or " I hold you Mommy" or "Mommy's baby". It's SO hard not to give in!

So much!!!

We've got SO much going on these days. Adam and I seriously see each other in passing, which is taking some getting use to. He did get to work a "normal" day yesterday, so last night he, Aiden and I had a BLAST playing together. It's been forever since we both got to sit and play with him- you could tell Aiden LOVED having us both here.

We got some good news today -

"Dear Adam,

Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that you have been unconditionally admitted. Thank you for pursuing your graduate studies at The University of Texas at Arlington."

(Not that anyone doubted that this would happen!) Yay Adam, we're so proud of you! He will be working on another masters degree!

Following the new pattern - today was BUSY! I got my hair cut for the first time in EIGHT months! Well, just trimmed. I really need to take the time and do things for me every now and then - but that's just not fun!!

We picked up Ryann tonight. Her class is taking a field trip tomorrow, and Melony, Adam and I did not feel safe sending a 4 year old on a bus ride over an hour away from any of us, so we opted to get her a day early. She is so amazing! I know I say that a lot, but seriously - she is so smart, pretty and sweet - she has it all!! Including a little brother who just about worships the ground she walks on! Those two couldn't be any crazier for one another! The ride home was full of little giggles. I don't think Aiden ever laughs as hard as he does as when Ryann is here. Ryann is still doing awesome in school! I really think school has helped her come "out of her shell" a bit. She doesn't seem as shy with new people like she once was. She is just amazing!

Aiden is also doing great! You wouldn't believe how much this kid talks! It is nonstop! He picks up on new thinks hourly, just blows my mind sometimes. He is a lot like Ryann, he doesn't forget ANYTHING! He met my friend Monique, and now asks about her all the time, he also asks about the baby in her tummy! I let him answer my cell phone occasionally, so if you call don't be surprised if you hear the sweetest "Hello Daddy!" no matter who it is that is the first thing he says, then "Hello (insert name here)!!" He started singing all of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star today. For the longest he has only sang one verse, today he knows it all! He also said rectangle. If I can just get him to say square, he'll have all his shapes down! He knows all the basic colors. He still gets a little confused with pink and purple, but that's not bad! He also is just amazing!!!

We're getting ready for the upcoming holidays. This time of year flies! We've just about completed all our Christmas shopping, so we can sit back and enjoy the rest of this year! Life is good! At this point, we couldn't be happier!!!

And for those intrested, I'm still working on getting the older pix up on our albums - it's a slow process since I don't have a lot of time to work on it, but it'll get done. I have added a lot, you'll be amazed at how much/fast Ryann has grown and changed!!!

Back to the grind...

We're home! We had a WONDERFUL trip, but glad to be back with our little man! The trip was great. The Villa at Messina Hof was SO nice. It really didn't even feel like being in College Station. Our room was beautiful. The staff was wonderful, the food was excellent, and the wine was tasty!! I did much better than anyone expected. I missed Aiden terribly, but it was easier than I thought it would be. I really think a lot of that was because was with his Aunt Kim, and that really helped to put my mind at ease. Adam and I enjoyed the Villa and all it has to offer. We visited some old favorites in town, and found some new ones as well. Both of us were blown away at how much has changed! That place is really growing! We had a good time at the game too, despite our lost - it was fun just being there!! It didn't get as cold as I thought - which I was happy about! We ran into old friends, here and there. It was a great trip! Adam didn't want to go back to work, but I'm happy to be back at "work". I enjoyed my time away, but won't be doing it again anytime soon. I missed Aiden!!!

This was taken as we were leaving, a little tired from a late night at the game! To see more pictures from our weekend be sure and visit our photo gallery!!!

Headed to College Station!!!

We've been waiting for this weekend for what seems like FOREVER!! Adam and I head to College Station tomorrow. We are so ready for a whole weekend to ourselves. We've only really seen each other in passing for the past two weeks. This weekend is much needed!! Although I'm not sure how I will handle a whole weekend with out my sweet baby boy! He'll be with his Aunt Kim, so I know he will be in good hands. He'll be just fine, just curious how I'm going to deal. This will be the first time we've spent more than a few hours apart.

While in College Station we'll be staying at Messina Hof Winery, in the Romeo and Juliet room.

Friday night we'll go to a wine tasting, then dinner, and maybe a "night on the town". Saturday morning we'll tour the winery, and then head to the game!!

Kim, keep your cell charged - I'll be calling as often as Adam will let me!! LOL!!! Take care of my baby!!!
